Mrs. Florence Sundel of Pomperaug Woods died Thursday August 21, 2008 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Meyer Sundel.
Born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Samuel and Anna (Goldstein) Robb, she was educated in Brooklyn schools and was a dental assistant for many years. She met Meyer at Berkshire Country Club in 1944 and was married the same year. After he returned from the service they moved to Waterbury where Meyer started Sundel and Milford Insurance Agency and she worked along side him until his retirement. They then moved to Southbury where she was a member of Beth El Synagogue, Hadassah and ORT. Meyer and Florence were married for 59 years.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Metcalf and her husband Jake of Middlebury and a grandson Scott Milford of Coral Gables, FL. She was predeceased by a sister Lillian Habler.

Services: A graveside service will be held Sunday August 24th at 11am at Farband Cemetery, Rt. 109, Morris.

Visitation: The family will also be receiving visitors at a shiva minyan to be held at 7pm on Monday August 25th at B'Nai Israel, 444 Main St. North in Southbury.
