SOUTHBURY- Florence Naka, 100, of Southbury, died Monday January 2, 2017 at the Watermark at East Hill Woods.

Florence was born August 6, 1916 NYC, NY, daughter of the late Frank T. and Anna (Andersen) Naka of Clinton St. Waterbury. She graduated from Post College with a degree in Marketing and Advertising specializing in events coordinating. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Waterbury on Country Club Rd. Florence was an avid Yankees fan and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved music, exercising was very sociable. She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Naka and a cousin, Lillian Anderson.

A great many thanks to Agatha Theriault of Oakville who was Florence's loyal and loving caretaker and aide for almost 20 years and also the staff at the Watermark.

Funeral services will be private. Florence will be buried with her parents and her sister.
