Seymour- Florence Greene passed away on October 31st 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving caregivers and friends. Born in Salem, NY on October 26th, 1926 to the late Hosea King & Gertrude (Perry) King. Florence was employed with the State of Connecticut for many years where she met some of her closest friends.

Florence was ardently devoted to her family and always put them first. She was happiest when her family was gathered together.

She was a talented seamstress who lovingly created many handmade items including a quilt for each and every one of her children.

Florence will be forever missed by her five children, Ronald Greene (Sandy Blum) of Southbury, Raymond (Laura-Lee) Greene of Woodbury, Randall (Esther) Greene of Watertown, Priscilla (Mike) Stratton of Kalispell, Montana & Loree Gillotti of Torrington.

Florence also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two daughters, Linda Dorman and Diane Thompson and her grandsons, Richie Dorman, Jr., and Bobby Doolittle.

The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to the loving staff at Masonicare, where she resided, for their exceedingly compassionate care during her illness.

Funeral services for family and friends are scheduled for Friday, November 3rd, 2017 from 9:30 – 10:30am at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St., Woodbury with a graveside service at 11am at Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of their choice.
