Florence Ackerman, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the age of 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Morton Ackerman, daughter of Peter and Jenny Bess. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Cantor and son Richard Ackerman, their spouses Dick and Bobbi, her grandchildren Daniel and Hannah Rose, and her 14 great grandchildren. She was loved and adored by all who new her as a wife, proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother, "Auntie", cousin and friend. She was an avid reader and critical thinker, with a brilliant, irreverent wit. She was elegant in every detail.
