Obituary

Bethlehem -
Mrs. Evelyn (Donnelly) Senkus, 85, of Main St. South, died peacefully at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington on November 4, 2007. She was the widow of Clarence Senkus.
Mrs. Senkus was born June 10, 1922 in Waterbury daughter of the late Benjamin and Ethel May (Chipman) Brown. Evelyn was a Bethlehem resident for 53 years. As a homemaker, she was an avid baker, knitter and reader. She was also a girl scout leader for several years. She loved the quietness and solitude of the town of Bethlehem.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Senkus of Winchester and Julie DiLaurenzio and her husband Ronald of Bethlehem, two brothers Robert Brown and Richard Brown both of Waterbury, two grandchildren Eric and Andrew DiLaurenzio and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother and a sister.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday November 10, 2007 at 1pm at The Church of the Nativity, East Street, Bethlehem. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. The Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St., is entrusted with the arrangements. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance personnel and therefore, in lieu of flowers donations can be made in Evelyn's memory to Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance Association, PO Box 401, Bethlehem, CT 06751.
