Obituary

Estelle V. Miller, 95, of Southbury, died peacefully on Monday, June 14, 2010 in Southbury with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. She was the widow of Vincent Francis Zavorskas and Walter L. Miller. Estelle was born June 22, 1914 in New Haven, daughter of the late Anthony and Adele Marches. She graduated from Commercial High School and raised her children in New Haven and Hamden and also lived in Roxbury. A caregiver all her life, she was a caring mother and an excellent cook. Her religion was very important to her and gave her comfort. Estelle will be missed by her many friends for her caring ways and wonderful sense of humor. Estelle's family would like to thank all of her wonderful caregivers at the Springs, the Watermark at East Hill and the Regional Hospice of Danbury. She is survived by her son, Vincent Philip Zavorskas and his wife Carla of N. Falmouth, MA; step son, Walter Miller and his wife Nancy of Bethany; two step daughters, Missy Payne of Nevada and Fern Miller of New Jersey. She was pre-deceased by her son, Paul Z. Marches, her brother, Charles and her sisters Adele, Elizabeth and Mary.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Roxbury Fire Department, 27 North St., Roxbury 06783 or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Cemetery: St. Patrick's

Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury

Services: Graveside services for family and friends will be held Wednesday, June 16 at 11: 00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Roxbury.

Visitation: There are no calling hours.
