Ms. Emma Theriault Wertman, 74, of Brigeport died Tuesday July 15, 2008 at her home. Emma was born January 26, 1934 in Bridgeport and was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport.
She is survived by three daughters, Emma Rivenburg and her husband Jimmy, Adelia Maida and her husband Sam and Linda Wertman, four sons, Neil Reed, Arthur Wertman, Danny Wertman and Anthony Maida, a brother Joseph Pohorence and his wife Brenda, seven sisters, Marge Poremba and her husband Al, Veronica Logan and her husband Mike, Madeline Pease, Agnes Steinbecik, Isabelle Kratochvil, Jennie Tearman and Pat Gorton, 27 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters Eleanor Pennington and Sharon Rine, two sisters Louise Murphy and Veronica Theriault and four brothers John Pohorence, Ed Pohorence, Theodore Theriault and Dave Theriault.

Services: A memorial mass will be held on Saturday July 19th at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Bridgeport.

Visitation: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday July 18th from 6 - 8pm at The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
