Emily L Sears of Oxford CT died peacefully on the morning of May 31, 2015 at the Valerie Manor Senior living facility in Torrington CT. She was 94. Born in Ansonia, CT on March 22, 1921, she was the daughter of George and Florence Berggren.

Mrs. Sears worked as a homemaker for over 70 years. She is survived by her brother George Berggren; she is also survived by her beloved children June, Diana, John, Daniel, Kimberly, Theresa, Laura and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of over 71 years, John A. Sears Jr. She is also predeceased by a daughter Linda, a son Louis and a great-granddaughter Jodi Lynn.

Friends are invited to attend the wake on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North, Southbury, CT 06488. Funeral services will be on June 4, at 10:00 A.M. at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North, Southbury, CT 06488, followed by the burial service at Pine Hill Cemetery in Southbury, CT. Flowers and memorials may be sent to the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main street north, Southbury, CT 06488.
