Elizabeth M. Dyer, 91, of Southbury, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 3, 2022, surrounded by family. Elizabeth was born June 15, 1931 in New York City, N.Y., the daughter of late Joseph and Rose Bavonese. Elizabeth (Libby) was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her late husband Robert Dyer, her children and especially embraced and loved her role as Nana. Her endless examples of love and dedication to her family and friends made her a light in so many lives. Her life was a living example of Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32-"And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." She is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Robert Dyer; survived by four children, Linda and Dave Digianvittorio of Seymour, Janice and Paul Harkness of Washington, Kevin and Jolene Dyer of Pickerington, OH and Keith and Debbie Dyer of Solebury, PA; nine loving grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and relatives. She was predeceased by brothers Joe and Harry Bavonese, Sisters Carrie Sprich, Catherine Bavonese, and Mary Jean Dillon. There will be celebration and memorial honoring Elizabeth's life at a later date to be determined, with details forthcoming.
