IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elinor A.
Gagne
July 7, 1958 – August 21, 2022
Elinor Ann Gagne, 64, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2022 at her home in Waterbury. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Sandra (Bertrand) Hallock.
When asked what Elinor would miss the most, she had a list: Wednesday family dinners with Dale, Gary, Bethany and her beloved grand-daughters, Katie and Jaime, anytime spent with Donna, Grace and Annette, craft days with Yvonne, and dinners with many friends including Lisa, Shirley, Mona and Liz.
She wants to send a special thank you to Dr. Kert Sabbath and the staff at The Harold Lever Cancer Center. The care they gave was exceptional and always heartfelt.
Elinor worked at The Home Depot for 26 years as a Front-End Supervisor. She worked at several of the local Home Depots including Southington, Waterbury, Milldale, Bristol and most recently, New Hartford. She always cared so much about each one of her associates and would go out of her way to support them, personally and professionally. She made many lifetime friends and even if she didn't see them for a while, she made sure to never lose touch.
In her free time, Elinor loved baking and crafting. Her talents were endless including card making, hand made ornaments for the holidays, decoupage, wood burning and so much more. Those who received a beautifully decorated cupcake or a slice of her almond cake were among the lucky.
Her favorite hobby was reading. She could read a book a day. She loved a good suspense or thriller but you would not CATCH her reading a romance novel. She also enjoyed collected and displaying hand-painted Polish pottery. Elinor was a cat person, because dogs are just "OK" and she absolutely hated spiders.
She will be missed by so many; she leaves behind a son Gary, his wife Bethany and his children, Katie and Jaime, a brother Dale Hallock, a sister Stacey Griffin and her spouse Jay. Elinor also leaves behind her step-mother Charlotte Hallock to whom she was grateful for the care and love she gave in her final days. She leaves behind her aunts Deata, Dawn and Debbie. Also her sister-in-law Yvette Snedeker and her spouse Ed, her dear friend Kim Moore and many nieces and nephews and we can't forget about her chunky girl, Opal.
In Lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Last post Animal Sanctuary, P.O. Box 259 Falls Village 06031.
