Eleanor Marie (Fallowell) Braziel, beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on June 19, 2024 at the age of 94. Eleanor was born on December 26, 1929 in Waterbury, CT, daughter of William and Loretta (Walsh) Fallowell and beloved sister to Charles Fallowell.
Eleanor was a person of immense compassion and kindness, always willing to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she touched countless lives with her selflessness and warmth. Eleanor had a remarkable talent for managing the chaos of raising eight children who love her dearly. A love that blossomed in the bonds of marriage will now be reunited with her adoring husband John E Braziel Sr.
Beyond Eleanor's professional accomplishments in nursing, she was a pillar of strength for her family and friends. Eleanor had a thirst for knowledge and thoroughly loved reading. Eleanor loved cooking, traveling, time at the beach and she truly brought joy and laughter to those around her. Eleanor's legacy is one of love, generosity, and unyielding spirit; a true mother to all!
Eleanor is survived by her children; John E. Braziel Jr and his wife Diane, Denise Fuller, Michael Braziel and his wife Anne, Dr. Charlotte Braziel, Loretta Braziel, Kevin Braziel and his wife Shirley, Irene Belden and her husband Dr. Robert Belden, Tim Braziel and his wife Silvia, grandchildren; Sean Braziel, Kevin Braziel, predeceased by Stephanie Braziel, Matthew Fuller, Kaitlyn Fuller, Holly Braziel, Ashley Braziel, Brittany Belden, Marissa Morin, Courtney Morin, Samantha Morin, John E Braziel III, Dr. Meghan Plummer, Alexis Braziel, Paige Braziel, and Joshua Braziel and great-grandchildren; Collin Braziel, Claire Braziel, Chelsea Braziel, Jasmine Braziel, Cross Braziel, Miles Fuller, Cooper Fuller, Alina Plummer, Amaya Plummer and Jaxson Braziel.
While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing the wonderful life she lived and all the lives she touched.
The family will receive guests on Friday July 12, 2024 from 9:00 to 10:15 A.M with a funeral mass beginning at 10:30 A.M., both at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 146 Main St. S., Woodbury, CT. Burial will immediately follow at St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck, CT.
