Obituary

Loving Mother -
Eleanor F. (Platt) Baer, 87, longtime resident of Woodbury, died November 8th after a long illness. She was the widow of Gustave A. Baer.
Mrs. Baer was born July 4, 1919 in Danbury, daughter of the late Clarence and Bessie (Libonati) Platt. She retired from the Region 14 School System after many years of cafeteria service. She was a member of the North Congregational Church of Woodbury and volunteered with the Blue Trail Council of Girl Scouts and Southbury Training School Thrift Store.
Eleanor and her husband spent many enjoyable summers at Lake Candlewood with their three daughters and their families.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce (widow of Frank) Morelli of Wolcott, Janice Corey and her husband Robert of East Sandwich, MA and Joanne Eustace and her husband Ronald of Mayer, AZ. Her grandchildren include Lisa Brinton and her husband Alan of Wolcott, Frank Morelli Jr. and his fiancé©e Melissa Secrist of Waterbury, Betsy Pagano and her husband James of Wolcott, Robert Corey Jr. and his wife Amy of Randolph, VT and Scott Corey and his fiancé©e Renee Clermont of Edgartown, MA. Her nine great grandchildren include Mellissa, Vanessa, Jessica and Erin Brinton, Myrasia and Kaysa Morelli, Miranda, Deven and Joshua Pagano, and Avery and Rily Corey.
A memorial service will be held on Friday November 17th at 11:00am at the North Congregational Church, Woodbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to the Woodbury Volunteer Ambulance Association, PO Box 581, Woodbury, CT 06798.
