Mrs. Elaine R. Sperber, 88, of Heritage Village died Friday December 16, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. She was the wife of the late Irving Sperber.
Mrs. Sperber was born April 9, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York a daughter of the late Samuel and Ella (Fontelier) Rubin. She graduated from Long Island University and worked at Abraham and Straus in Brooklyn as a buyer where she met her husband, Irving. They settled in Englewood, New Jersey, had 2 children and Elaine worked as a teacher at Quarles School. Elaine and Irving retired to Heritage Village over 20 years ago where she pursued her 3 loves, decorating, entertaining friends and family and shopping.
She is survived by her daughter Tina, her son Miles and his wife Beth and her grandson, Max.
