EILEEN JEAN LEWIS, known by friends as Jean, 76, of Bethel, died Saturday March 17th at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of Donald C. Lewis.
Mrs. Lewis was born July 25, 1929 in Lowell, Mass. daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Alice (Kay) Donovan. During her 53 years of marriage she lived in various places including Lowell, Massachusetts, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Greenwich, Connecticut, St. Louis, Missouri, Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, Middlebury, Connecticut, South Bend, Indiana, and Nokomias, Florida.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Stephen C. Lewis and his wife Jayne of Mt. Olive, NJ and Michael E. Lewis and his wife Beth of Jacksonville, FL, a daughter Patricia L. Huntley and her husband Raymond Jr. of Southbury, a sister Dorothy Sexton of Lowell, MA and three grandchildren, J.T. Huntley of Southbury and Max and Kristen Schanze of Florida.
Calling hour will be held Tuesday March 20th from 10:00 - 11:00am in the chapel at Sacred Heart Church in Southbury. Funeral mass at 11:00am at the church. Burial is at Pine Hill Cemetery in Southbury. The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North, is in charge of arrangements.
