SOUTHBURY- Mr. Edwin T. Gerhart, 100 of Southbury, died
Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Pomperaug Woods Health Center. He was
the husband of the late Pauline (Hale) Gerhart and late Grace (Ketchum)
Gerhart.

Mr. Gerhart was born July 11, 1908 in Kokomo, Indiana, son of the late
Frank Hamilton and Blanche (Truax) Gerhart. He graduated from Purdue
University with a BS degree in Chemical Engineering. Mr. Gerhart worked
for Shell Oil Company New York City Headquarters He resided in
Southbury for over 20 years, previously living in Mt. Kisco, NY and White
Plains, NY. While in White Plains he belonged to the First Baptist Church.
Mr. Gerhart was an avid gardener, billiards & bridge player and active photographer.

He is survived by two daughters, Carole (Arthur) Rosvold of Novato, Ca.
and Sally (John) Lord of Bethel, Ct. three grandchildren, Kristian and Paula
Rosvold and Nicole (Richard) Friedrich, four great granddaughters,
Shannon Miller, Samantha Rosvold, Jenna and Erica Friedrich and many
nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Smith and
Virginia Covalt. He belonged to the North Congregational Church in
Woodbury.
