Woodbury- Edward Thomas Rehak, 83, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished PopPop passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.  He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Diane Rehak.

Ed was a proud Army veteran, serving his country with honor in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery and sacrifice.

A man of deep faith, Edward was a long-timeparishioner of Saint Teresa of Avila Church in Woodbury.  When physically able, he was an active member of the church choir and men's club.  His faith was a guiding force in his life and he found great joy and purpose in being part of his church community.

Ed was a proud and dedicated father to his daughters, Karen Smith (husband Frank), Michelle Tomasello (husband Len), Christine Rehak and Andrea Martino.

His legacy continues through his 10 grandchildren, Patrick, Christina, Dominick, Nicole, Lucas, Nicholas, Luke, Isabella, James, and Jenna.

Ed is survived by his sister, Leslie Grohowski, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Barbara Mare and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Ed will be remembered for his gentle heart, unwavering devotion to family and the love he extended to all who knew him.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St. Woodbury, CT 06798. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 146 Main St. South, Woodbury, CT 06798. Full military honors will be held immediately following Mass.
