Edward Joseph Parent, 84, of Sky Meadow Road, died Thursday July 25, 2013 at River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury. Mr. Parent was born January 17th, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of the late Albert and Marguerite (Theriault) Parent. He is the husband of Helen Paula (Kinniery) Parent. Mr. Parent served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and worked as an Insurance Adjuster at Nationwide Insurance for 30 years. He is a member of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Connecticut. Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters; Lisa Agostine of Bethlehem, Michele Schneider of Atkinson, New Hampshire, Denise Parent of McKinney, Texas; a sister Eugenie (Jean) Samela and her husband Andrew of Middlebury, four granddaughters, two nieces, and a nephew. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Parent. His family would like to thank the staff of River Glen Healthcare Center for the excellent care given to Edward.

Services: A memorial funeral service will be held at the Church of the Nativity, 48 East Street in Bethlehem on Monday, July 29 at 10: 00 a.m. Burial will be held in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
