Edward F. Boyle, 59, of Woodbury, beloved husband of Christine (Kelly) Boyle and loving father of Shannon, died Thursday September 1, 2011 at Ct. Hospice in Branford. Mr. Boyle was born February 4, 1952 in Springfield, Ma. son of the late William J. and Alice May (Young) Boyle Sr.
He was a communicant of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Woodbury and a member of the church's Men's Club. In Westfield, Ma. he was a member of the Democratic City Committee, an elected Official for the Park and Rec Department, and a founding member of the Sons of Erin Irish Club. He was also a member of the John Boyle O'Reilly Club in Springfield, Ma. Mr. Boyle had worked as a computer engineer, was an avid reader and Yankees fan, but his passion was Irish music and culture. He will always be remembered by all as a kind and loving individual.
Besides his loving wife he is survived by a daughter Shannon D. Boyle of Levante, Maine, a brother William J. Boyle, Jr and his wife Joyce of Des Peres, Mo, and several brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.

Services: A memorial mass will be held on Saturday September 17, 2011 at 11 am at the Church of the Nativity, 48 East Street, Bethlehem.
