OXFORD- Edward "Rick" Barrett, 45, died suddenly Thursday morning July 19 2007, with his family by his side, after a short illness. He was an avid NASCAR fan and Miami Dolphin fan.
Mr. Barrett was born October 12, 1962, in Waterbury CT. son of the late Leroy and Betty Lou (Noragong) Barrett Sr. Mr. Barrett was a truck driver for many years in Connecticut and Florida.
Mr. Barrett leaves two sons Jesse Garthwait of Watertown, Joshua Barrett of Seymour, three daughters, Jennie Hassan of Watertown , Jodi Barrett of Seymour and Marcaddes Barrett of Florida. Also, two grandchildren Thomas and Grace Hassan of Watertown, four brothers, Leroy Barrett of Georgia, Charles Barrett of Indiana, William Barrett of Virginia and Joseph Barrett of Florida, seven sisters, Charlene Ludington of Woodbury, Nancy Castings of Naugatuck, Mary M. Gregoire of Oxford, Patricia Hayes of Naugatuck, Betty Wilkes of Florida, Jolene Laccone of Virginia, Joanne Nuzzo of Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
