Edie Judson Veilleux, 65, of Oakville, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Steven R. Veilleux.

Edie was born May 22, 1947 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Wilbur and Myrtle (Morgan) Judson. Edie attended Woodbury Schools and graduated from Naugatuck Community College in 1987. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa society. Edie was house manager for Beacon House, a group home for girls for eight years. Edie worked at Watertown Health at Home for seventeen years retiring two years ago. She enjoyed reading, traveling and gardening.

Besides her loving husband, she leaves behind her three children, Randy Higginson of CT and Steven DeVoid of Bristol, Kelly Mallette of Winsted, CT, four siblings, Lewis Judson of Watertown, Elsie Dean of Bristol, Gladys Higginson of Southbury, William Judson of Chichester, NH. Edie also leaves behind five beloved grandchildren, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and a very close friend Margaret Cretella of Naugatuck.

She was predeceased by a brother Melvin Judson and a sister Alice Banks.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Monday September 10th at 11am at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. Burial will be private.
