Obituary

SOUTHBURY- Dusan Pechanec, 71, of Southbury, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Jaroslava (Kabilkova) Pechanec.

Mr. Pechanec was born June 16, 1939 in Czech Republic, son of Stepanka (Migrova) Pechanec of Zlin, Czech Republic and the late Jaroslav Pechanec. Mr. Pechanec came to the United States in 1969 and has resided in Southbury since 1972, previously living in Waterbury. He had owned and operated the Watch and Clock Shop in Bristol for many years. He enjoyed sports, swimming and the loved the ocean. He also enjoyed the company of others and was a very humorous man and was a communicant of St. Teresa's Church.

Besides his wife and mother, he leaves a daughter Jacquline Pechanec of Buffalo, NY, two brothers, Jaroslav and Miloslav Pechanec of Zlin, Czech Republic, two cousins, Vera Pecha of Staten Island, NY and Vladimir Pechanec Long Island NY, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral: St. Teresa's Church

Services: A Mass will be held on Friday, March 4th at 10 a.m. at St. Teresa's Church, Main St. South in Woodbury.

Visitation: Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 3rd from 3-6 p.m. at The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
