Obituary

Mr. Douglass Lawrence Burnham, 78, of Woodbury died Sunday January 30, 2011 at Beacon Brook Health Center in Naugatuck. He was the husband of Jean Marie (Bentz) Burnham.
Mr. Burnham was born March 9, 1932 in New York City, a son of the late Douglass Oswald and Virginia (Schroeder) Burnham.
Douglass was a graduate of Southern Arizona School and Bucknell University. He was the president of Connecticut Manufacturing Company for many years. Douglass was a licensed private pilot. He enjoyed flying, traveling, scuba diving and motor homing. Most of all, he loved his family and their annual family vacations.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Janet Burnham of Las Vegas, NV, three sons, Jonathan Burnham of Moorestown, NJ, David Burnham of Woodbury and Charles Burnham of Southbury, three brothers, Peter Burnham of Petersham, MA, William Burnham of New Canaan and Daniel Burnham of Wayne, PA, a sister, Virginia Walker of Guatamala, and six grandchildren, Krista, Elizabeth, Daniel, Jonathan, Alexander and Kira.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 294 Main St. South Woodbury, Ct 06798.

Location: Munson-Lovetere Woodbury

Funeral: Church Not Applicable

Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 12th at 1: 00pm at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St. Burial will be held privately.

Visitation: Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 11: 00am until the time of service.
