Douglas J. Stubbe

Douglas John Stubbe was born on March 5, 1969 and passed away on January 28, 2026 in Danbury, CT. He was raised on Long Island in Wading River and graduated from Stony Brook University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He and his wife, Lynn, moved to Pittsburgh shortly after getting married, where their first daughter, Shannon, was born. They moved to Brookfield, CT a few years later, and welcomed their second daughter, Lyla. The most important thing to Doug was spending time with his family and their dogs. He had a passion for all types of music, cars, and learning, was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and had a successful career in software sales.

Doug is survived by his wife, Lynn, and daughters, Shannon and Lyla. He is also survived by his sister Pamela Stubbe Holmes of Florida and a large extended family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Duke Stubbe, and father, Richard J. Stubbe.

People who know Doug will remember his laugh, smile, and sense of humor. To honor Doug, please listen to good music and jam out, just as he is still doing. Please go through life always wanting to learn more and staying a realist, while seeing the good in everything.
