IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Douglas W.
Bolduc
December 8, 1949 – July 29, 2025
Douglas Wayne Bolduc, age 75, of Terryville, CT passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 in Bristol, CT. Born to the late Raymond and Mitzi (Patten) Bolduc on December 8, 1949 in Laconia, NH. Douglas graduated Pomperaug High School in 1969.
Doug's life was characterized by his hard work as a tool and cutter grinder in the manufacturing industry. He retired from Amphenol in Danbury, after a successful 40-year career. He possessed a multitude of talents, excelling in auto mechanics, the guitar, singing, photography, fishing, and especially tinkering around the house. However, it was his extraordinary ability to read others that truly defined him. With piercing blue eyes that seemed to see into people's souls, Doug related to those around him with genuine empathy. Often people would disappoint him, sadly, which is why he felt it best to keep his circle small.
Despite Muscular Dystrophy, which took away his ability to move freely and Alzheimer stealing his memory and voice, Douglas kept his dignity intact, always. Still displaying his love, even with only a long stare or tight squeeze of the hand. Doug led by example and stayed true to the end.
He poured his heart into providing a loving and safe home for his beloved wife, Theresa (Sharkis) Bolduc, and their cherished children and grandchildren. Married on August 12, 1969 in Brewster, NY, for 56 years he and Theresa shared a deep bond founded on love, laughter, and unwavering support. Douglas worked hard to provide a life for his children that he himself did not have. Doug believed in nurturing his family, ensuring that each member felt seen, heard, and encouraged in their aspirations and endeavors.
Doug is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa, his daughters, Rhonda (Brad) Bates, and Deborah Trup, grandchildren Nicholas and Aiden Bates, Ava, Stella, and Julia Trup. Douglas is also survived by siblings Bonnie Christiano , Gale Bolduc, and Craig Bolduc, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Douglas was predeceased by his son Lucas Bolduc and his siblings Gary Bolduc and Brad Bolduc.
The world lost a great man. His family takes comfort in the fact he is whole again and in a better place. May he be greeted in Heaven with hugs by Lucas and Llarz and hopefully does not upstage the angels when he sings in God's choir. In a world full of pretense, Doug was a truly unique man. He lived his life, 100% authentically – never sacrificing his values or integrity to fit in or gain popularity. His only concern was the well-being and opinion of his family – whom he loved fiercely.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers consider a donation to Muscular Dystrophy Association or Alzheimer's Association.
