Obituary

Dorothy Eleanor King, age 94, passed away suddenly at home Sunday, April 5, 2015 in Woodbury. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Julius Kwiatkowski King who died January 31, 2009. Dorothy was born May 25, 1920 in Jersey City, N.J., daughter of the late Arthur Waldeck and Marie A. ( Nitsche)( Waldeck ) Holtzschuh. She attended Walton High School graduating in 1938 after which she completed a training program and became an x-ray technician. She worked as an x-ray technician for a private practice until she had her first of four children in December 1941.
She was an avid animal and nature lover. She enjoyed gardening, loved her pets and feeding and watching the wildlife at her patio doorstep and her Yankees! Most of all she loved her family and she was their Babcia. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Stephen (Dorothy), Paul (AnnMarie) and John (Claudia) and her daughter, Deborah (Peter) Woyciesjes. She also had eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Memorials: Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Cemetery: Mt. Olivet Cemetery

Location: Munson-Lovetere Woodbury

Services: The family will have a private service at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, Friday, April 10. Burial will be private in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
