Ms. Dorothy C. Sinansky, 62, of Heritage Village died Saturday November 17, 2007 at River Glen Health Care Center with her family beside her, after a long illness. Ms. Sinansky was born July 6, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York daughter of the late Michael and Ursula (Basanavage) Sinansky of Woodhaven, NY.
Ms. Sinansky was raised in Brooklyn and Woodhaven, NY, graduating from St. Joseph's School for girls in Brooklyn. She also lived in New Canaan, CT, Boca Raton, FL and Dana Point, CA with her former husbands, Robert Ribetti of New Canaan, CT and Albert Konopka of Palm Coast, FL. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren, needle pointing, baking, and taking her dog, Hobo, for walks around the ponds.
She is survived by a son Christopher Ribetti of New Canaan, two daughters Rachel L. SanFanAndre and her husband William of Southbury and Dawn Ribetti of Quincy, MA, a brother Michael Sinansky and his wife of Tuxedo Park, NY, a sister Cecilia Adams of Huntington, NY, 6 grandchildren, Aileen, Kimberly, Shannon and Geoffrey Rice of Quincy, MA as well as Ashleigh and Lauren SanFanAndre of Southbury, CT, 1 niece and 4 nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday November 24th, 2007 from 3:00 - 5:00pm with a service beginning at 4:30pm at The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
