Most Loving Mother
Mrs. Dorothea V. Marchese, 90, died Tuesday December 4, 2012 at Middlebury Convalescent Home. She was the wife of the late John Marchese. Mrs. Marchese was born May 29, 1922 in Passaic, New Jersey, daughter of the late John and Anna (Mayer) Esslinger. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader , she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her daughter. She was a wonderful homemaker and she loved animals. In her younger days she had worked as a private secretary. She was Past Secretary of the Southbury Garden Club, was a member of the Woodbury Woman's Club and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter Althea Palmer and her husband Tony of Waterbury.
A special heartfelt thanks to the Staff at the Middlebury Convalescent Home Administration for their loving care they extended to Dorothea throughout her stay with them.
