Doris Elizabeth Fray, 92, of 66 Old North Road, Washington, died Saturday, March 24 at The Kent care facility in Kent, CT. She was the widow of Robert F. Fray. Mrs. Fray was born March 2, 1915 in Washington Depot, the daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Blixt) Johnson. Mrs. Fray graduated from Washington High School where she played on the girl's basketball team. For 25 years, she taught school in Seymour and was Washington's first Kindergarten teacher. She was a member of the Salem Covenant Church; a member of the church's Lydia Circle and sang in the church choir. She is survived by her son David Fray of Washington; and a granddaughter. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Clarence Johnson.

Services: A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 28 at 3: 00 p.m. at the Salem Covenant Church, 96 Baldwin Hill Road, Washington Depot. Burial will be private in the Washington Cemetery.
