Mrs. Doris W. Dunkel, 82, of South Britain Road, Southbury, passed away September 11, 2011 in Danbury Hospital. Mrs. Dunkel was born October 5, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her parents were William and Lluella Weir. She married Richard Petersen in February, 1950 with whom she had 5 children, and after their divorce, she married in June of 1964 Clifford Albert Dunkel with whom she had two more children. She worked in NYC in real estate management for Darwood Management, Inc, and retired in March 1997.
She is survived by her 5 daughters, Kristine Key, Mary and husband Sal Festa, Jill and husband Rodger Craig, Susan Gibson, Stacey and husband Eric Schroeder and 1 son Clifford Dunkel III.
She also is survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Besides both her husbands, she is predeceased by a son, Richard W. Petersen and a grandson, Patrick O'Connor.
