SOUTHBURY- Dominique André© Matté©i,71, died Saturday June 7, 2008 at his home.

Mr. Matté©i was born September 10, 1936 in Corsica France. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 15 and became a US citizen which he considered a great privilege.

He began his long career as a printer as a young man in New York City. Working from an entry level position, he quickly learned his craft and eventually bought his own company, Remlitho in Stratford. He retired in 2005. Among his many passions were the printing industry, gardening, fly fishing, current events, reading and the stock market.

Dominique has a large and loving family who will miss him very much. He is survived by his wife, Mardi and four adult daughters: Olean Matté©i of Harwinton, Monique Ferraro of Watertown, Carla Mullen of Smithmill, PA and Eugenie Johnson of Harwinton, his nine grandchildren, Jeffrey Sanna and Jason Sanna both of Waterbury, Tara Albuquerque of Brookfield, Teresa Mullen and Tina Mullen both of PA., Sara Rosales and Nicholas Ferraro of Watertown, Dominique Johnson and Bodhi Johnson of Harwinton, one great granddaughter, Brianna Albuquerque of Brookfield.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.

Visitation: Friends may call the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
