Domenica Maria Montanaro, 80, died Saturday May 17, 2014 at Masonicare in Wallingford. She was born August 5, 1933 in Fontanile, Italy daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Pesce) Grimaldi. Domenica Maria married Anthony Joseph Montanaro and raised her family in the Bronx, NY before coming to Oxford, CT.

She is survived by her children, Anthony, Joseph, Michelle and Robert; daughters in Law, Barbara and Linda; son in Law, Eric Hollis; grandchildren, Joseph, William, Justin, Lisa Marie, Arthur Poje, Linda Poje, Dania Lee Gallagher, Mark, Gina Marie, grandson in law, Luke Gallagher and future granddaughter in law, Caroline Nelson.

Services: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday May 20th at 10am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Oxford. Domenica will be laid to rest at St. Raymond's Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Ave, Bronx, NY 10465 on Tuesday May 20, 2014at 1pm.

Visitation: Calling hours will be held on Monday May 19th at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North, from 3 - 5pm and 7 - 9pm.
