Dolores Theresa Rafferty Woods, 83,a Shelton resident for more than 40 years and most recently a resident of Heritage Village, died Saturday, July 15 at the River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury. She was the wife of the late William Woods for 52 years. Mrs. Woods was born September 20, 1922 in Taylor, PA, daughter of the late Daniel and Theresa (Clarke) Rafferty. She retired from United Shoe Machine in Shelton, CT. Dolores loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They brought her many hours of happiness. She also loved to Knit and Crochet. She shared this love by presenting hand made items to family and friends. Happy family occasions were a highlight with Dolores and she held the distinction of making the best baked stuffed shrimp; especially for the Christmas Eve dinners. Dolores was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Southbury. She leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Albert Anglace of Seymour; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Marylou Woods of Shelton; her grandchildren, Kimberly Anglace of Southbury, Keith Anglace of Danbury, Dean and Danielle Anglace of Southbury, Laurie Ann and Dr. Philip Kondylis of Erie, PA, Edmond Woods of Shelton, Catherine Anglace of Carmel, NY; her great grandchildren, Hunter, Andrew and Harrison Anglace of Southbury, Alex and Jake Anglace of Carmel, NY. She was pre-deceased by six sisters, Helen Kalson Moscariello of Ansonia, Romayne Saar of Taylor, PA, Catherine Supchak of Taylor, PA, Mary Bold of Hatboro, PA, Margaret Welc of Taylor, PA, Rita Cascone of Shelton. Funeral will be held Wednesday, July 19 at 9:00 a.m. from the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North, to Sacred Heart Church, Main St. South, Southbury, for a mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Church Street, Ansonia. Calling hours Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 686, Southbury, 06488.
