Dolores "Dee" Fischer Daley, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and passionate community member passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 9th. She was 94 years old.

Dee was born on December 5th, 1930. She was born in Plainfield N.J to Anne and Ludwig Fischer. Dee grew up in Waterbury, CT. She was a graduate of Crosby High School, class of 1948. She met Tom Daley while they both attended Hillyer College. They married in 1957 and moved to Woodbury. Together they raised 4 children in a home filled with love, laughter and cherished memories. They were happily married for over 50 years until Tom's death in 2007.

Dee is survived by her daughter, Marcia, her husband Mike Savo of Woodbury and her adored grandson Max Savo, her son Kevin, and his wife Allison of East Hampton, CT, and her beloved grandchildren Aidan, Ailie, Annin and Abby. her daughter and devoted caretaker, Sharon, of Woodbury and her husband, Christopher Shapland and their children Erin, Charlie and Maggie, Her son Neil, his wife Amy and treasured grandchildren Morgan, Sloan, Erin and Logan.

Dee will also be missed by her brother William Fischer and his wife, Nancy of Needham, Ma, their children, Jennifer Fischer Luby, her husband Tom, Jeff Fischer and several great nieces and nephews.

Until recently, Dee was an active member of the Woodbury Democratic Town Committee and the St. Teresa Women's guild. She enjoyed playing Bridge at the Woodbury Senior center, and doing the NYT crossword puzzles with Chris. Dee was a prolific knitter, who created over 300 knit teddy bears with custom designed clothing which she donated to various children's charities such as Children of the light and Westchester Christmas Dinner.

As per her wishes, there will be a small private mass and burial. There are no calling hours.
