Seymour- Delores A. Cavallaro Valentine, 82 of Seymour, passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2024, after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Arthur F. Valentine Sr. for 60 years.

She was born in Derby on June 20, 1942, to the late John and Flora Cavallaro. Delores attended Derby High School and was part of the 1960 graduating class. After high school, Delores attended the Bridgeport School of Beauty Culture and graduated 1961. Delores worked in hairdressing and cosmetology, later owning, and operating the New Image hair salon in the former Ansonia Mall. She later transitioned in to tailoring services at New England Uniform of Bridgeport, where she took extraordinary pride in the work she did for the postal service and first responders. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, sewing, cooking, and baking.

Delores was preceded in death by her oldest daughter Donna L. Valentine Ragaini. Besides her husband Arthur, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Tina Marie Valentine of Ansonia, and son Arthur F. Valentine Jr. of Terryville, as well as her seven grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held on January 11, 2024, beginning at 11:00am at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Dr, Ansonia, CT 06401.
