David Wilda, 60 passed away peace-fully on August 5, after a wonderful long life of peace and joy. David lived in Woodbury, CT for the past 23 years along with his loving wife Dawn (Nettleton) Wilda, who have been married for the past 34 years. David was loved and will be missed by his son Nathan David, Sister Priscilla Beaulieu and Brother Daniel Wilda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. David was born in Danbury CT September 24, 1950. He is the son of the late Stanley Wilda and Rose Gigliotti Wilda. David and his wife Dawn were active members of Connections Church in Southbury CT. David Graduated in 1968 from Danbury High School and from Southern Connecticut State University in 1972 with a BS in Physical Education David went on to play professional football for the Hartford Knights. David was inducted in the Danbury High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007 and in Southern Connecticut State University Hall of Fame in 1997 and The Old Timers honored David for his Athletic Prowess and contribution in September 1992.
David's life reflected his strong faith as a devoted husband and father. David's legacy will live on in the hearts of so many people that he touched during his 60 years. David loved the Lord with all his heart and soul and lived everyday in the love of Jesus Christ.All are invited to attend Davids celebration of his life.

Funeral: North Congregational Church
Services: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11: 00am at North Congregational Church, 11 Main St. North at the corners of Rt.6 & 47, Woodbury, CT.
Visitation: Calling hours will be held at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere 2 School Street on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
