WOODBURY - David R. Sandulli, 91, of Woodbury, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, surrounded by his family.

David was born on January 4, 1932 in Waterbury, CT to Anthony G. and Pearl (Reid) Sandulli.  He attended Waterbury schools and went on to study at Yale and the University of Bridgeport.

He served in the army and was in the army reserves for many years.  He married Jane Howard in 1953 and they raised five children in Woodbury.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Jane, and their children Catherine and her husband Ron, Daniel and his wife Patti, Elizabeth, Margaret and her husband Jeff, and Carol; nine grandchildren, Danielle, Aaron, Matthew, Keri, Kelly, Ryan, Ashley, Chelsea and Calder; and five great-grandchildren, Liliana, Owen, Hailey, Macie and Sebastian.

David was an avid RC model builder and enthusiast and a founding member of the Nutmeg RC Flyers.  Upon following his retirement after 34 years with Timex in Middlebury he became a much loved EMT with the Woodbury Ambulance Association for 15 years total, 4 of them as President.  He would show up on scenes everywhere wearing his infamous "grampy" hat.  He most loved spending time with his family.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 5 to 7pm at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School Street, Woodbury, with a service and military honors starting at 7.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 2 to 4pm at the Woodbury Senior Center, 281 Main Street S, Woodbury.
