David John Caruso died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014. He was born in New Jersey on May 19, 1961. David was a long time resident of Newtown and Woodbury, CT where he attended the local schools.
He was the son of the late John Caruso and is survived by his mother, Barbara Caruso of Woodbury. In addition to his mother, David is survived by his two sisters, Susan Caruso Castriota and her husband, Joseph, and Jane Caruso; his aunt and uncle, Angela and Robert Caruso; three nieces, Eileen Leo, Dawn McKenna, Mikela Caruso; six great nieces and nephews, and his friend and companion, Wendy Breault. He was predeceased by his wife, Monica, in 2001.
David was an avid sports fan and, he himself, was an exceptional athlete. He had many cats in his life and he had a great fondness for each and every one of them. He was charming, witty, caring and made many friends wherever he went. David was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is at peace.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13th at 1 pm at the North Church, 11 Main Street North, Woodbury, CT. Lunch will follow in the church parlor.
