Woodbury- David C. Breakell (Mr. B) 88, beloved husband of Jean O. Breakell, passed into eternal peace Dec. 10, 2020. Born March 6, 1932 in Torrington, CT, son of the late Helen J. and Edward Breakell. He is survived by his brother Edward Breakell, Melbourne, FL. He leaves behind four daughters; Susan B. Foetsch, Winsted; Amy Tobin, Goshen; Carolyn Scarano, Deerlodge, MT; Jennifer and her husband James Plungis, Bethlehem. He also leaves his grandchildren, Melissa Foetsch, Sara and Rindi Tobin, Eli and Emma Scarano, Matthew Plungis, and Lucas and wife Linh Nguyen Plungis.
A graduate of Housatonic Valley Reg. 1 High School, and he obtained his BS and MS from the University of Conn. Served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and the Conn. National Guard. Retired as Director of the Vo Ag Dept. at Nonnewaug Reg. 14 in 1986 after 32 years of teaching. He went on to become a co-owner of Goshen Tractor and Pie Hill Boarding Farm in Goshen. David also spent years as a flying ASA Flight instructor.
Always a farmer at heart till his final days.
