It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Rutherford, beloved son and a remarkable intellect, who left us on January 22, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on July 10, 1969, the son of John (Jack) and Bonnie Rutherford, Dave graduated from Newtown High School and Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Science.

Dave was a brilliant man, possessing a Bachelor's Degree and a keen interest in all things computer-related, particularly programming. His exceptional mind earned him a place as a lifetime member of Mensa, as well as memberships in both Intertel and the Triple Nine Society. He had worked for General DataComm and Ahead Communications Systems, Inc.

Dave enjoyed cooking and was a committed Vegan for 25 years. He spent much time researching and creating meals that fit into that diet.

He is survived by his parents, brother Scott (Teya) Rutherford, sisters Melissa (Greg) Miller and Heather Rutherford and 5 nieces and nephews who will always cherish his memory.

Private services were attended by members of his family.
