NEW YORK – On Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, Darrell Eugene Lind, a beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He was 67.

Born on Sept. 4, 1955 in Madison, S.D., Darrell was the youngest of six children; Gloria, Cameron, Arlene, Vern and Valerie. In 1976, Darrell met the love of his life, Ellen, and married a year later. Darrell and Ellen have three beautiful children.

Darrell and his family moved to Woodbury, Conn., in 1987, where he began his own successful drywall construction company, Woodbury Wall Systems. Darrell enjoyed his work, playing softball, cheering on his children's sporting activities, and cracking jokes with his friends and family.

Darrell was best known for his quick-witted dry humor, historical knowledge, fierce determination, and work ethic. Darrell was a friend to many and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen; their children, Allison, Michael and Neil; and grandchildren, Gabriel, Gisela, Adrian, Henry and Annika.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday April 29, 2023 from 11 am to noon at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson Lovetere, 2 School Street. A memorial service with Rev Tuesday Rupp officiating will begin at noon.
