Enjoyed caring for people

Daniel Christopher Capuano, 32, of Woodbury, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Dan was born March 8, 1980 in Waterbury, son of Ralph and Lucille (Lanoie) Capuano of Woodbury. He was a 1998 graduate of Nonnewaug High School. For five years, Dan worked as a PCA at Waterbury Hospital and then worked at Mid-State Medical Center for almost 3 years as an emergency technician. Dan loved his job and was known for his big heart and being a "Gentle Giant," Dan was loved by all, especially his patients and co-workers. He always went that extra mile to make sure his patients were well cared for and comfortable.
Starting at just 5 years old, Dan spent many years at the Woodbury Dance Company. He loved dancing, singing and entertaining others. He also loved his truck, motorcycle, quad and his dog, Duffy Wilson. He enjoyed traveling, especially his trips to Italy and Cancun. He had a sense of humor that was unmatched and had the ability to make you fall in love with him within five minutes of meeting him. He could light up a room with his smile. "Dan the man", you will be missed by all that knew you; you were an amazing friend and will never be forgotten.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Ralph Capuano of Winston Salem, NC; his uncles, Raymond Lanoie and his wife Beverly of Hebron, Mark Capuano and his wife Cathy of Waterbury and David Capuano and his wife Mara of Cheshire; his aunt, Robin Capuano and her husband George Bruhns of Avon; his grandmothers, Phoebe Lanoie of Watertown and Roberta Capuano of Waterbury. He was pre-deceased by an aunt, Nancy Lanoie Bowen and his grandfathers, Ralph Capuano and Raymond Lanoie.

Funeral: St. Teresa's Church

Services: A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, February 26 at 11: 00 a.m. at St. Teresa's Church, Main St. South, Woodbury.

Visitation: Calling hours will be held Monday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St.
