Mrs. Cynthia Cary DeLorenzo, 61, of Southbury died Friday December 31, 2010 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of John DeLorenzo. Mrs. DeLorenzo was born June 7, 1949 in Royal Oak, Michigan the daughter of Joseph and Luella (Cary) Bassett.
Cindi had a love of nature, gardening and enjoyed drawing in her free time. An avid volunteer, she assisted in many of the Southbury school's libraries. She was a very caring person that was always there to lend a helping hand and she adored her grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband and parents, she is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Boyer and her husband Michael and Melissa Hensel and her husband Craig, a brother Larry Bassett and 4 grandchildren Joseph, Morgan, Ethan and Peyton.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Hirshberg Foundation 2990 S. Sepulveda Blvd. Suite 300C Los Angeles, CA 90064 to aide in the Pancreatic Cancer research effort.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 8, 2010 at 2pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Woodbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Visitation: Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 1pm - 2pm.
