IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Colette C.
Flanagan
January 18, 1965 – October 13, 2025
Woodbury- Colette C. Flanagan, loving mother, daughter, sister, caring partner, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, surrounded by love.
Colette was born January 18, 1965, in Bridgeport, CT to her loving parents, John and Colette (Glackin) Flanagan.
The third child of ten, Colette grew up in Bethlehem and attended Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury. She then earned a degree from Adelphi University. She found her calling in nursing and continued serving her community as a nurse until her illness prevented her from doing so. She raised her two boys in Woodbury, who she loved fiercely. Later in life, Colette met a wonderful man, with whom she shared a home, great food, and wonderful travels.
Her creative and athletic spirit led her to pursue a diverse range of hobbies, including jewelry making, painting, and body building. Colette was a vegetarian and animal lover, doting particularly on her dogs, Archie and Harvey.
Holding hands with her sisters' time and time again as they ushered new life into the world. She carried an essence of strength and comfortability that was unmatched, as long as she was with you, you felt safe. She had a unique ability to befriend anyone, and her infectious laughter brought joy to any room she entered. Those who loved her best will remember her as hardworking, strong-willed, joyful, and loving.
