Obituary

Mrs. Clare Kruel, 81, of Wellington, Florida died Sunday January 25th at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida. She was the widow of Francis P. Kruel Sr.
Mrs. Kruel was born October 15, 1927 in New Milford, daughter of the late James Henry and Esther C. (Carlson) Bailey. She attended New Milford Schools and Bassett Business School. She moved to Danbury in 1937 and was married on September 6, 1947. She had been employed as an Assistant Accountant at United Liquors of Boston which she left to assist Francis with their business, Century Aluminum Products. After retiring, they moved to Boynton Beach, FL where she became active in AARP, Eastern Star, was a member and officer of St. Joseph's Church, and a volunteer tax aide for a number of years.
She is survived by her son Francis P. Kruel, Jr. and his wife Sarah T. of Sandy Hook, and Wellington, Fl; her sisters Esther McCoy of S. Britain, and Grace Slater of Shelton, her brother Howard Bailey and his wife Joan of Danbury; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services: Services Monday February 9th at 11: 00am at the Church of the Epiphany, Southbury. Burial is in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
