Clara K. Yurksaitis, aka Clare York, 92, of Sunnyside Ave.,Oakville, died Friday April 27, 2007 at River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury. She was the widow of George (York) Yurksaitis.
Mrs. Yurksaitis was born December 29, 1914 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Matthew and Katherine (Navick) (Zorsky) Kilnas. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Grammer School and a longtime member of St. Joseph's Church in Waterbury. She worked as a waitress in many restaurants including Phil's Restaurant in Waterbury, Trio Restaurant in Waterville, Holland House in Watertown and for many years at the Town Tavern in Oakville where she was known as "Clara Bell". Mrs. Yurksaitis resided in Oakville for over 70 years.
She is survived by a son George M. York and his wife Joan F. of Watertown, a grandson George M. York Jr. and his wife Judy of Southbury, a granddaughter Linda York Knight and her husband Dana Knight of Scottsdale, AZ, two great-grandsons, Jeffrey York of Tempe, AZ, and Jonathan York of Southbury and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son Robert (Bobby York) Yurksaitis.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Monday April 30, 2007 at 10 am at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, 203 Spring Lake Road, Waterbury.
Visitation: Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday April 29, 2007 from 6 to 8 pm.
