CLAIRE S. LEEGANT


SOUTHBURY- Claire S. Leegant, 96, of East Hill Rd., died Tuesday, June10, 2008 at East Hill Woods, Southbury, CT. She was the wife of the late Harold A. Leegant, DDS.

Mrs. Leegant was born October 25, 1911 in New York City, daughter of the late Solomon and Sophie (Hirsch) Schindler. She was a homemaker and was very active in the Cerebral Palsy Association. She was a sculptor and painter and was a wonderful hostess.

She leaves a daughter, Judith M. Frank, MD and her husband Ronald I. Frank, DPS of Millwood, NY, two grandchildren, Alicia Weissman and Glenda Alberti, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son Alan Leegant and 2 brothers, Sidney and Ben Schindler.
