Born and raised in Roxbury, Chuck spent his entire life in the town he loved so dearly. Known for his keen wit, kind heart, and dedication to his community, Chuck was a true cornerstone of Roxbury, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Chuck enjoyed cooking for his close family, creating delectable loaves of bread, pies, and cakes that will long be remembered. He found tranquility in the mountains and waters surrounding Roxbury. He was fond of the local wildlife, often seen feeding the birds and other creatures near his home on Painter Hill.
Professionally, Chuck worked alongside his father at Horace Miller Excavating. After his father's passing, Chuck continued the work on his own, enjoying his work and remaining actively involved until his passing. His contributions to numerous job sites around town played a significant role in the growth and development of Roxbury.
Chuck cherished the annual "Chicken Barbecue," one of the many town activities he spoke of fondly. A lover of "muscle cars," he prized his Dodge Charger, often admired in the driveway of his home.
Chuck deeply missed his wife, with whom he had shared countless adventures and memories. Their love story touched many in the community, a testament to their bond as partners and best friends.
Chuck is survived by his sisters, Jeanne Decker and Sarah Miller. He also leaves behind his three nephews, John, Doug, and David Maloney, and their significant others, Sarah, Roula, and Krista, for whom he held a special place in his heart. His life was a testament to his deep commitment to those he cared for, his love for his community, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures.
