Kaiser
July 9, 1940 – August 28, 2024
Charles James "Jim" Kaiser of Southbury, CT, husband of Barbara Ribeiro Kaiser, passed away on August 28th, 2024 at Danbury Hospital with his wife by his side. He was the son of the late George W. Kaiser and Rose A. Burroughs.
Jim was born in Mt. Kisco, NY on July 9, 1940 and grew up in Ridgefield, CT on the family poultry farm "Kaiser Poultry Farm" on Barry Ave. He graduated from Ridgefield High School and joined the United States Air Force in 1958, where he fueled jets until 1963. He met his lifelong sweetheart in 1964 and they were married in 1966. They bought a house in New Fairfield, where they raised their 3 children.
Jim worked in the Oil Industry, most recently as Owner/ Manager of Holcomb Fuel in Newtown until 2007. He and his wife retired and moved to Heritage Village in Southbury, where he resided until his death.
Jim loved gardening, golfing, the NY Giants, and spending time with his beloved family. He most recently worked part time with his daughter, Anne, at Gainsfield Farms Golf Course, maintaining the beautiful flowers along the course, helping in the office as needed, and helping with the kids' summer league. His passing has left a whole in our hearts and we miss him terribly.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Lisa Bras and husband Junior and their 2 children Amanda Bras and Adam Bras, daughter Anne Rogers and her husband Garry and their 2 children David Rogers and Stephen Rogers, and son Tim Kaiser. He was predeceased by Tim's late wife, Jennifer Kaiser.
Jim is also survived by his siblings, Bud Kaiser and his wife Elaine from PA, Rosemary Barrett from FL, Corinne Pancotti and her husband Vinnie from CT, Joseph Kaiser and his wife Theresa from SC, John Kaiser and his wife Laurie from CT and Patricia Kaiser from CT and by several nieces and nephews. He his predeceased by his sister Charlotte Moffa from TN.
A Celebration of Life is planned at the North Congregational Church, 11 North Main St., Woodbury, CT on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 11:00am. Military honors will follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Jim's name to Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Hospital in NY or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
