TORRINGTON- Ceil A. Banores, 56, of Torrington, left this life on July 24, 2010 after a courageous battle with a long illness.

Ceil was born Bridgeport, daughter of the late George and Helen (Kaffes) Banores. She was employed by SNET, retiring in 1995 after 25 years of service.

She is survived by a brother Andrew Banores and his wife and family of Orange, CT, a sister Elaine Banores of W. Haven, CT, and two nieces who she was raised with, Kim Tallcouch and her husband John Gergots of Oxford and Lea Ricard and her husband Thomas and their two children of Woodbury. She shared her life with her beloved cat "Punky". She left numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

Ceil was predeceased by her brothers Steven and John Banores and a sister Virginia Tallcouch.
