Carole (Barr) Blore, 84, of Sandy Hook, passed away peacefully in her sleep August 17, 2023 at the River Glen Nursing Home in Southbury. She was the loving wife of 65 years to Frederick Blore Jr.
Carole was born March 1, 1939 in White Plains, NY. She was the third of four children. In her early life, she lived in Norwalk, CT. She also lived in Coral Gables, FL for nine years and then moved back to Norwalk. She worked for Borden Mitchell Dairy as a bookkeeper. She later became a professional housekeeper for 50 years.
Carole loved her family, animals, NASCAR, UCONN basketball and gardening. She enjoyed watching the animals in her yard.
She was predeceased by her parents, Florence Barr and John Barr, as well as her two sisters, Lorraine Buchanan and Jean Charles, all of Fryeburg, ME.
She leaves behind her husband, Frederick Blore Jr., her son, Frederick Blore III (Sunshine Blore) of Bethlehem; her granddaughter, Erin Blore; her brother, Briane Barr (Brenda); brother-in-law, Carl Blore (Shirley), brother-in-law Jerome Blore, sister-in-law Sheila Garguilo (Tony), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 6-8 at the Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School Street, Woodbury, CT. Burial will be private at a later date.
